10 DAYS & counting....

Only 10 more days and Stephen will be here. I want to tackle that boy! (:

So... I made another list (imagine that) of all the things I want to do while Stephen is here for 9 WHOLE DAYS. I want to soak up every moment, breath, second  of when we're together. It's already hard enough having him all the way in Michigan... let alone across the ocean.I'm building up major anxiety over this. I will try to enjoy it. Our little family will be together again. That's my favorite time ever!

Also anxiety over "the D word." I know, it will be a great time to better myself as a mother and as an individual. But, dang how do all of these women do it? It takes just as much strength and courage to be a single parent while they are away. So many emotions and hardwork and dedication. On a much  HAPPIER note...

Owen is getting his first tooth!

Deployment...

Deployment is creeping up on us. I don't know how it's going to be for Owen and I. All I know is it's going to be hard to get through the 13 months that Stephen is away from us. He isn't going to be there to see Owen take his first steps and he will miss so much. I'm going to try and keep him involved as much as I can. (Good thing I have a handy video camera.) It still makes it very difficult. I know... life will go on and nobody will understand what I'm going through and they will tell me to suck it up. Which in a lot of ways I'm going to have to. But I'm not going to like it. It'll be SO worth it when he gets home though. Sorry had to let out some frustration. Tuesday is halfway over. Time should just slow down a little more.

Summer Bucket List

Well it's my first post  and how fitting it is to start out with my summer bucket list (since it's summer time) that I've been working on. Some have been accomplished so far... while others... I am going to conquer by the end of summer. Also... a lot of these I have done or plan to do with my family ( mostly nieces and nephews & Owen of course)

1. Make sidewalk chalk
2. Have a Yard Sale
3. Go on Vacation
4. Sailing
5. Take Owen swimming for the first time
6. Stargazing
7. Run a 5K
8. fishing
9. Baseball game
10. Go to a drive-in movie
11. Campfire
12. Go on a picnic
13. scavenger hunt
14. build a fort
15. Go to the lake
16. Get all Fancy & go to dinner

I'll think of more as I go. But summer is half-way over. I better hurry and get on some of these.
