Learning every creeeeek in the floor...

It's pretty funny when you become a mother... while baby is napping, you try to learn how to do everything in silence. For example brush your teeth, take your shoes off, BREATHE. I swear every little peep wakes O up. Then I'm either scrambling to get him back to sleep or I am trying to entertain him while finishing what I was doing, that woke him up in the first place. Tonight... it was taking my shoes off. I took one off and it touched the floor nicely. Then the next one came off a little bit wrong and thud... hit the floor and Owen was awake in the next room almost instantly. He hates when I leave the room and I swear EVERY time I slip out, whether awake or asleep he has a freakout!!
I have gotten so creative while he is in his bouncy and not paying attention to me. I will dash to the bathroom and be done and back in the room before he even notices I am gone. I know you might think.... It's fine Lacy, he can fuss. But, I have become a complete sucker for this little man. He is one smart baby. He knows just how to push me to do whatever he wants. I wish I would have learned this with my mother back then... I guess it is just that though... I'm a SUCKER for Owen. I don't think that I could have it any other way though. He's my little love.

We were eating pumpkin waffles for dinner tonight with Stephen's parents and the missionaries....  Owen was sitting on my lap. He reached on my plate while I looked away for a split second and he had the whole waffle in his hands, smashing it into his face and eating it. I know that he is just exploring his world, but man he knows when to do things. He also was tearing off little pieces and feeding it to the kitties that were waiting patiently under the table. They have this little language and they love him! It is so adorable, even though I'm not a bery big fan of cats. They are starting to not get on my nerves... as much.
